there are so few people in life that are willing to step up and fill the role. whether it be friend, coach, mentor or father figure. yesterday marked the one year passing of one of those people, Ron Loewen. when i see shit like this from Mann i think of Ron. he was the real deal. no bullshit and no lies was how he lived and whether you wanted to hear it or not it was the truth. no matter which one of those positions he filled he did it with honesty and love and he always had your best interest at heart. when he would see you he would give you a big hug and kiss on the cheek and tell you that he loved you and you could tell that he meant it. when i was young i was embarrassed by it and as i got older i looked forward to it. now i would give anything to hear it again. people say you will be missed and that deals with the future, I'm in the now and know deeply that you are missed and have been.
